Nicki Minaj announced the nominations for the 2011 American Music Awards at a press conference in LA today.
But the singer seemed to be vying for her own award for the most outrageous outfit.
The Super Bass star, 28, put on an eye-popping display at the JW Marriott Los Angeles.

Her daring outfit featured a tiny bra and skirt which put her curves on show in all their glory.
She finished off the look with a half-blonde, half-blue wig and matching boots.
She joined fellow rapper Pitbull on stage to unveil the nominees, who are are determined from chart data.

British soul singer Adele has earned a leading four nominations.
Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and The Band Perry have each earned three nominations.
Adele earned nominations for Artist of the Year, Favourite Female Pop/Rock Artist, Favourite Pop/Rock Album for 21 and Favourite Adult-Contemporary Artist.

Also nominated for Artist of the Year were Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
The awards will be presented November 20 at the Nokia Theatre.
Adele will compete with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry for Favourite Female Pop/Rock Artist.
Among the men, the nominees in the Pop/Rock category were Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Pitbull.
